Out
with the old, in with the new....
New
look web site..! During July we will be
getting our act together and making a few
improvements to our web site. Yes we have
found some new motivation to extend our
already long work week to an even longer
stint! Iyou are saying "It's about
time!", Yes, we agree! Even though
the substance of what VANEM does has been
evident to many people, (you just need to
check out our parts section), we agree that
it is time to clean up our site and start
showing you more about what we do every
day.....
So as you can see we have now tried to start
moving things along. We trashed a few pages
and started a few new ones and hopefully
we can start to bring you "some of
the good stuff", the stuff that makes
you want to get in the shed and build something…
stay tuned. |

| So
what's new?
Well if you are returning here after a past
visit you would have noticed a few changes already,
and if you have taken the time to check out
our parts pages lately, then you would have
also noticed some updated pages with new parts,
pics, more details and info. Soon the growing
list of custom goods will be added to with some
new products that we now have in Australia.
The details of these parts are of a slightly
different theme to what you are used at the
Vanem online store, but more about that later.
For now we hope the site will start to get updated
on a more regular basis (are you reading this
BK?). Hopefully we can start to show you some
more cool products, places and bikes. We will
try to add the odd pic of special parts imported
for our customers via our special orders service.
These are parts that you will not find on the
shelf ...

We
want you to stop by our online store often
and keep an eye on our website as we rant
on about custom two wheel life and post
feature articles and pics. If you have any
suggestions (worth hearing) then drop us
a line and make a request...
Get
a better look at the custom scene in Japan,
check out where the products come from,
have a virtual shop visit or two and most
importanly see close up shots of plenty
of cool bikes from the street. After all
thats where the real scene has come from,
and where it continues to grow.....

|
| If
that all sounds great, before you get too excited
just check out our webmaster BK to the right,
(BK is short for our web master Buck, or (Supa
Buck as we call him). This is an example of
what we tend to look like at the end of most
days, so dont call and complain if we don't
provide a daily novel with each update to our
site, just be thankful we have a few pics to
share already and know that BK will be getting
his act together to do what he can each week
/ month.
So we ask you to keep in mind that the running
of our hectic little business makes the time
slip by & days turn into night, weeks into
months........... then a few beers later...…
blah blah blah...you know the story, its been
told before.....but we will be making an effort! |

So
with that all said the good news is, the delay
in getting content up so far doesn't mean we
have been sitting around like coach potatoes!
The reality is far from it.....
Supplying SR400/500, w650 and TW200 parts to
just about ever corner of the globe has been
a big task and it is growing every week, so
naturally a few things have got delayed while
our humble little business has grown. Luckily
along the way we have kept plenty of information
and pics that we are sure you will enjoy. So
when we return from our mid year holiday (we
are closed between the 7th and the 16th July)
we will be trying to get some interesting features
up for you.

Just
repeating, we are having a
short mid year recovery session (well
our first holiday in two years actually). When
we return on the 17th of July we will get ready
to start our features section off by digging
into our little data base of pics and take you
back in time to Rinku land in the summer
of 2004! Yep thats right 2004 Rinku
Land in Osaka. All the pics taken that day were
snapped with our $50 buck camera we kicked around
Japan for a few months, so they may be a little
fuzzy.... or was that my eyes..?
Anyway,
Rinku town was host to one of three SR shows
that year called the "Sea side cafe".
If you are a hardcore SR fan, you will know
about these SR shows that were on in Japan a
few years back. Some pics made it to the web
so you may have heard about it. We were lucky
enough to be there that sunny day and being
the only Gaijins-[term for foreigners in Japan
- ed.] - we probably have the only content from
this show outside of Japan. So now we have teased
you with that info... we are going on Holiday!
Yea, I know, we are going to keep you in suspense.
Well I hope you agree the wait is worth it because
we have some pretty cool pics to share. Mind
you they are all taken with the prowess of a
blind man......blinded by lots of polished parts
that is!
Ok,
stay tuned folks, when we return from our long
awaited holiday we will get to work to show
you some great bikes from Rinku Land 2004! In
the mean time take the time to check out our
parts dept, Bethanga rally in Victoria, is not
far away, so you better get to work!

If
you've been asleep for the past six months you
may not have seen this vid. Without a doubt
this custom SR put together by the guys at Brat-style
in Saitama is one of the best they have ever
built! And thats saying something. If your not
familiar with their builds you should take the
time to have a look at their handy work!
We
thought this bike and clip is so worthy we
will start our vids section with it. Killer
custom SR builds dont get better than this,
BTV.... check it!
