TW pic of the day:
Some of you have noticed amongst our range
of SR custom & cafe parts a few mentions
to the TW's. This is mainly because there
are cross over parts that work on both
bikes. So does Vanem supply TW parts as
well? Yes! We have done so for quite a
while, so for those of you looking for
more TW parts, just ask us about the range
of goodies we supply and we will send you
some details. For the TW owners in the
know, we don't need to be telling you we
sell an extensive range of custom TW parts!
For those who didn't know, now you do!
The hardware for TW's includes many parts
similar to those we stock for SR's, seats,
tanks, exhaust and light kits etc...Virtually
any custom part available for the TW [within
reason] can be ordered... and we stock
many parts not shown in our online store
& all of it is made for the TW specifically!
Anyway enough of us giving ourselves a
plug.. "Need TW or W650 custom parts",
just ask! p.s
parts selection will be online soon!!
This
Peyton Place SR is one of the nicest SR
builds you will ever see! We captured some
great pics while at Peyton Place and as
you can see when you click on the image,
the attention to detail is second to none...
Thanks to the guys at Peyton Place we were
able to take some great pics of their bikes.
All that we saw had attention to detail
that only professional builders can achieve.
To sum it up PP bikes are simply stunning!
The full series of pics will be shown as
a feature on our website at some stage,
so look out for the posting in the future.
Till then enjoy this glimpse at a very
nice ride..

Tear
jerking drama? Who is the star of this drama
series?
The
humble SR has carried the tag of being
a cult bike in Japan for several decades.
It is such an icon of the streets of Japan
that TV producers choose to feature them
in TV drama series shows quite regularly.
We weren't completely surprised that this
edited footage from a Japanese series has
shown up on You-tube.
Japanese
drama series are not high on their export
list so we don't see a lot of this. We
are also unlikely to sit down to watch
a Japanese tear jerker love story drama
show anyway… but if you are in Japan
and turn on the tele you may just see some
famous old and new rides on the screen
[maybe helped by the marketing depts?]…
The SR has also had its fair share of features
in commercials, fashion mags, billboards
and even video games and it is not alone.
The T dub [TW200] also being such a figure
on the streets of Japan for the youth of
Tokyo [and all over Japan] means they also
get a start in main stay Japanese media
occasionally not to mention the odd drama
shows [especially if the show was made
several years back...]
If
you have
spent some time in Japan you may recognise
some of the scenes in this clip. It does
well to depict what you see a lot of in
Japan; cool SR's and custom rides in the
small side streets and roads almost everywhere
you turn [maybe I am always looking for
it??] It is not uncommon to hear the sound
of singles all night long in Tokyo [well
up until midnight most nights]. You just
need to go for a walk around the streets
and you will trip over bikes like this…
BTW, forget catching a cab to Narita airport
[as seen in the vid at 0:25] It is a bad
idea! Cost, mmm well it is about $250 bucks
AUD from Tokyo station! Never miss the
last train to get you to your flight on
time! Enjoy the clip of the week [or at
the very least enjoy checking out the bike
in the clip of the week!]

Really
no words are needed for this beauty, the
pic will tell the story!
I
took this picture in the burbs of Tokyo
while strolling home early one evening.
The owner was a youngish guy who spoke a
little English so we could get some details
about his ride and a stack of nice pics...
Thanks!
I don't know if I would be out on this baby
in peak hour Tokyo traffic? But then again...
The
SR's 30th birthday event day pics
and clips have started to show up
on the web. Here is a sample of the
event held a few weeks ago, it's
not a great clip but it certainly
does show how big the turn out was.
As you will see, the turn out shows
that the big single is alive and
kicking in every way!
Let's
hope some better
quality
vids and pics start to appear soon!
